About Us

Growing up the son of a salesman truly laid the foundation for Justin’s nomadic lifestyle.  Moving up and down the West Coast in his early years (Washington, Oregon and California) and adapting to new people became “normal” and inspired his profession and wanderlust spirit.

After stumbling into the hospitality industry at 15 years old, Justin quickly realized that he had a passion for creating memorable experiences for people he interacted with.  Over his 20+ year career in the Hospitality Industry, he held many positions such as room service attendant at Little America, fine dining server at Kai, Front Office Manager at The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass, Director of Guest services at The St. Regis Deer Valley to his most recent role of Director of Operations at Phoenix’s only 5 Star boutique hotel, The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician.  He is excited to bring his passion for hospitality, attention to detail and living small to the first Tiny Home Hotel in Arizona while being able to spend more time on his biggest passion, his family.

Rachel grew up in Madison, Wisconsin with her Mom and Step Dad.  Every summer she would travel to Utah to visit her Dad and his side of the family and go on summer adventures.  Her summer vacations grew her love for travel and exploring new places. She moved to Arizona with her parents to attend Arizona State University while her parents enjoyed retirement.

Amidst a 20 year career in customer service and insurance, Rachel fell in love with and married Justin, raising two amazing boys, Hudson and Rowan (more about them below). Rachel’s Mom became ill in 2011 with an aggressive form of dementia (Frontotemporal Dementia).  After bravely fighting dementia for 6 years, Rachel’s Mom passed away in August of 2017. Watching the disease take her Mom, really drove home how fragile life can be and thus shifted her perspective on how she wanted to live her life.  As the Chief Heart Officer, Rachel exudes the energy that forms the hearth of our community atmosphere. When not pouring her heart into our business, Rachel can most likely be found helping her son’s experience the benefits of our unique lifestyle.

The Leader.  Hudson is a young philosopher and constant observer to his surroundings.  When he is not questioning why something is the way it is he can be found exploring or playing with his brothers.  He has a passion for reading, rock climbing, swimming, sushi and video games. He is excited to start his own “tiny store” on site to provide guests with local treats and logo merchandise.

The Curious One.  Like most younger siblings, Rowan is constantly trying to keep up with his older brother.  Rowan is never one to back down to a challenge and can often be found scaring his parents with his daredevil antics.  He loves swimming, being outside, Lego’s and most of all playing with his brothers. He is excited to welcome guests to the hotel and help with tasks around the property.

The Independent one. While Brock is the youngest of the brothers, he is also the most independent. He is up for anything that is thrown his way and is always down for an adventure. He enjoys playing with his brothers, exploring, singing, dancing and playing Minecraft. He has become our official greeter and loves to meet new guests as they arrive to our property.
